Borrowers are expected to notify the lender of any theft, loss or damage to the equipment. Due to the number of litter pickers not being returned by volunteers we may charge for any missing equipment. To avoid this course of action, please ensure all equipment is returned.

Volunteers are participating entirely at their own risk and Belfast City Council will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by the actions of the volunteers.

It is the borrower’s responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all participants. It is the borrower’s responsibility to conduct a risk assessment as part of the event preparations. We would not encourage volunteers to work within close proximity of main roads for their own safety.

It is the organiser’s responsibility to ensure that all clean ups are undertaken in accordance with the latest guidance issued under the Coronavirus (COVID-19) regulations in Northern Ireland.
